Global Neighbours School Accreditation & Blippit Boards

May 12, 2022

This month, thanks to the support and expertise of Christian Aid, Blippit Boards has expanded to include monitoring support for the Global Neighbours accreditation scheme.

Equipping young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to act against inequality and work towards a world free of poverty.

The scheme is far-reaching and encourages a deeper understanding of global injustice to equip school pupils across England to tackle this and become courageous advocates for change. The monitoring and evidencing aspects for schools taking part in the Global Neighbours school accreditation scheme were areas where we felt Blippit Boards could help a lot. Schools confirmed to us that this would save them a lot of time and effort very soon after our SIAMS collaboration with the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education.

So, thanks to Christian Aid's expertise and advice, schools using Blippit Boards can now simply hit a button to build their Christian Aid Global Neighbours PDF or editable Word report containing all Global Neighbours tagged Boards, ready to be uploaded to form part of their submission evidence.  There's a smart interactive chart in the Blippit Boards Dashboard that makes monitoring the Global Neighbours evidence being captured by colleagues via the app a very quick job, with simple filtering to show you the key stages or year groups that it's coming from.

This is all about adding value to schools using Blippit Boards and the inclusion of Global Neighbours is a free one.  Courageous advocacy doesn't exist in a vacuum of course so while you can tag for the scheme you can also tag to acknowledge the wider curriculum context in which the learning took place.  For schools already using Blippit Boards, you may want to review boards you've already created and add in any of the Global Neighbours tags that fit the bill.
