Thanks to work with 4 Welsh schools in 2023-4, teachers in Wales can now organise and share examples of curriculum impact to celebrate successes with the Curriculum for Wales.
If you’re responsible for showing how the new curriculum is taking shape across your school or cluster, you’ll know it’s no small task. Finding clear, up-to-date examples of good practice can quickly feel time-consuming and hard to pin down. Meanwhile, teachers are keen to share, reflect, and agree on what “secure” really looks like in areas like PS2 writing - but reaching that shared understanding isn’t always straightforward..
Every school organises its curriculum a little differently. In one recent project, we helped a Welsh primary school create 8 bespoke tag categories so staff could capture and share practice more clearly. Alongside this, Blippit provides ready-to-use Curriculum for Wales tag categories. Combined with familiar terms and descriptions local to the school, blended with national reference points, there is a lot of added value.
“Blippit Boards allowed us to get everything into one place, it's really accessible, it's really quick and easy to access through things like the tags and the filters and the date range and all of those kind of things. It's also allowed us to ensure the whole teaching staff and governors are able to contribute towards their self-evaluation activities.”
