Overall

Blippit Boards works best when everyone is clear on what to do first, how to join, and what a “good one” looks like when using it day-to-day. The steps below will help you introduce the platform smoothly and build confident use from the start.

‍

Step 1. Add teachers to Blippit Boards

After upgrading from a trial to a full account, the Admin's first job is to invite teachers in.

  1. Log in at boards.blippit.app
  2. Open User Manager (Admins only)
  3. For each member of staff, add:
    • their display name
    • their email address
  4. Click Invite

What happens next:

  • each invited colleague receives an activation email
  • the activation link is live for 60 minutes
  • if the 60 min live link time-frame is missed, then a 'link expired' message will show

If the link expires:

  • teachers can go to any Blippit login page (app or dashboard)
  • click Forgotten password and the teacher's account holder email
  • a fresh link will be sent and joining Blippit can be done again.

Tip: Invite senior/subject leaders are great to invite in early on so they can model early use.

‍

Step 2. Explaining what Blippit Boards is for

The introductionis simple and purposeful:

  • Blippit Boards is for capturing worthwhile moments from the lived curriculum
  • It is not a parent-sharing platform
  • It is a professional tool for:
    • Subject Leaders
    • teachers
    • school improvement work
    • organisational development

Knowing this clearly up front frames expectations and avoids confusion.

‍

Step 3. Modeling “what a good one looks like”

An admin or other early adopter in school will hopefully have created one or two example boards that show:

  • photos or videos of real classroom moments
  • short written context explaining:
    • what the moment shows
    • why it matters
  • the tags you would expect teachers to reasonably add

Sharing these model boards when launching is really helpful.

‍

Step 4. Clear school expectations on tagging

Getting meaning out relies upon good tagging so reports and charts can offer new teacher insight.

Teachers:

  • tagging makes moments findable and usable
  • reports and dashboards depend on accurate tags
  • no tag = not included in subject reports

Where possible:

  • agree an absolute minimum required tag set (e.g. ks, yr group, subject,).

‍

Step 5. Teacher reassurance about visibility

Teachers should know who can see what?

Here's how that works:

  • teachers can see other teachers’ captured moments
  • this is intentional - it supports:
    • professional dialogue
    • subject leadership
    • curriculum development

This is shared professional practice and not performance surveillance.

‍

Step 6. Point staff to self-help resources

Teachers and admins don’t need to wait for help if unsure.

Self-help:

Building confidence early on is important to help create new habits.

‍

Step 7. Reinforcing what Blippit replaces

In should explicitly understood what teachers no longer need to do, such as

  • no emailing photos
  • no shared drive confusion
  • no Word documents of pasted images
  • no printing, photocopying or chasing files in folders

“From now on, please Blippit your evidence instead.”

This will help to close the door on old habits.

‍

Step 8. Keep momentum going

In the first term:

  • watch your chart data build in real time
  • identify gaps early
  • support each other before deadlines (as usual!)
  • celebrate good examples

You’re aiming for Blippit to become:

  • routine
  • low-effort
  • part of professional conversation

‍

Brief launch summary

“We’re introducing Blippit Boards to capture meaningful moments from our lived curriculum. It’s a professional tool for us, not a parent-sharing platform. Please capture photos or videos of key learning moments and add short context so they make sense to others. Tag clearly because reports and dashboards depend on accurate tags. You’ll receive activation emails today. If your link expires, just use ‘Forgotten password’ to get a fresh one. If you’re unsure about any feature, Blippit Uni has quick guides and videos to help.”
