AI Curriculum Snapshots will be available from
27 February 2026. A school admin SLT representative can activate this feature via the 'Whole School Settings' tab inside the new Blippit User Management Dashboard from this date.
Teachers can choose to include a AI-generated Curriculum Snapshot in subject reports to give a concise, helpful summary of the curriculum evidence captured within the Blippit Boards report (on page 2). It gives leaders and teachers a clear, readable overview of detailed report evidence pages that follow.
The Curriculum Snapshot is available in English or Welsh and is optional.

Before you start: Enable Blippit AI Assistant for your school
Activating the Blippit AI Assistant is a one-time action carried out by an Admin with SLT authority having reviewed our AI Transparency position. The Blippit AI Assistant is activated inside the Blippit School User Manager Dashboard by a school admin account holder. Even when activated by the school, teachers can still choose not to use it.
How to activate or deactivate Blippit AI Assistant
I am either a member of SLT or have SLT email consent to enable on behalf of your school.
I have accessed and read the Blippit AI Transparency statement (tap ‘here’ to open it).
Enable Blippit AI Assistant for Blippit Reports.
The Enable button will become active once all three boxes are ticked. Tap it to confirm.

Step 2 - Tick all three options and click 'Enable'.
Confirming AI is enabled for your school
Once activated, the Whole School Settings page will show a confirmation message with the name of the person who enabled it and the date it was activated. A single checkbox allows an SLT-authorised Admin to disable AI at any time instantly if required.
Once AI is enabled school-wide, any teacher can choose to include a Curriculum Snapshot when generating a PDF Report.
Filter your boards as normal using tags, date range, or search.
Tap PDF / DOCX Report.
In the Create PDF Report dialog, you will see two new options:
With AI Curriculum Snapshot - off by default. Switch this on to include an AI-generated summary as page 2 of your report.
Snapshot Language - set to English by default. Switch this on to generate the snapshot in Welsh instead.
Tap OK to generate your report. A download link will be emailed to you as usual.

What the AI Curriculum Snapshot contains
The AI reads the board titles, descriptions, and tags that make up your filtered report and produces a short written summary that reflects:
the curriculum areas covered
the range and nature of moments captured
any themes or patterns that emerge across the moments
It is designed to give teachers some time back by sharing an immediate sense of the report’s content before they view the detailed evidence pages. Boards that include minimal information will be flagged for you.
Good to know
The AI Curriculum Snapshot is optional every time - teachers choose whether to include it when generating each report. Your last setting is remembered. e.g. if you selected to include the snapshot in Welsh last time, then this will be the setting until changed by you.
It is off by default, so it will never appear unless it is switched on.
The snapshot review is based entirely on the boards included in your filtered view at the time of generating the report.
Better tagging and richer descriptions lead to a more accurate and useful snapshot.

Reports with a Curriculum Snapshot may take a little longer to generate than standard reports.

Transparency
Blippit takes AI use seriously. Before enabling this feature, Admins are required to read the Blippit AI Transparency Statement, which explains how the AI works, what data is used, and how it is handled. This statement is accessible directly from the Whole School Settings in the dashboard screen during activation. Blippit's DPA has been updated 27/2/26 to reflect processing if/when the AI option is enabled.
