Every school organises its curriculum slightly differently. Blippit Boards allows you to create bespoke tag categories that match your school’s language, priorities, and structures so evidence is easier to collect, filter, and report on directly in the app.
Bespoke categories mean staff are tagging using terms that already make sense in your school, rather than adapting to a generic list.
What bespoke tag categories are
Bespoke tag categories are:
- created specifically for your school or MAT
- visible only to your organisation inside your Blippit Boards app
- used alongside the standard tags
- included automatically in reports and charts generated in the app
They are especially helpful when schools want to:
- reflect their own curriculum model
- align with Trust terminology
- support internal reviews or frameworks
- simplify evidence collection for specific priorities
Using bespoke tags across schools in a MAT
If you are part of a collaborative group or Trust:
- bespoke categories can be enabled for selected schools
- everyone then tags in the same structured way
- evidence builds consistently across schools
- comparisons become easier and fairer
- Trust-wide reporting becomes much simpler
You decide which schools share the categories.
How bespoke tags appear in the app
Once created, bespoke tag categories:
- appear alongside existing tagging options
- can be applied to any board in the normal way
- are available to all relevant staff automatically
- are included in:
- filtering
- chart views
- in-app reporting
No extra systems or dashboards are needed — everything happens in the Blippit Boards app.
How to request bespoke tag categories
To set up bespoke tag categories:
- Create a simple document with:
- the name of each tag category
- the tags that should sit inside each category
- Email it to support@blippit.co.uk
- We review and prepare the tags for you
We may:
- truncate long names to fit the interface cleanly
- add short prefixes where helpful for clarity
- ensure everything is readable across contexts in the app
We’ll check the design with you before enabling it.
Pricing (one-off per bespoke category)
- Small school: £45
- Primary school: £55
- Secondary school: £70
This is a single one-off cost per bespoke category.

Schools tell us bespoke tags help because:
- staff immediately recognise familiar terminology
- tagging becomes quicker and more consistent
- evidence aligns directly with school priorities
- reports reflect your own language, not generic labels
This supports clearer professional conversations and provides instant familiarity for teachers.
