Tag Watch Groups
'Watch Groups' in Blippit Boards let teachers select which tag groups they get notified about when someone else uses tags from that group. For example:
- English Subject Leader selects 'English' so that when other teachers tag from that category, they get an app notification.
- SLT /SENDCo select 'Inclusion' so that when other teachers tag from that category, they get an app notification.
What's the benefit?
Watch Groups ensure that teachers don't need to spend time checking Blippit Boards 'just in case' or have to filter and find new moments added to new boards - even though this is a fast option. Instead, targeted app notifications can be turned on/off to make teacher-time spent much more valuable.
Where and how to activate Watch Groups
- Tap the profile icon (top right corner in the app) -> Tap 'Watch Groups'
- Choose and switch on the tag groups for watching. Grant permission for Blippit Boards to notify you when prompted.
- Repeat as needed to activate specific Watch Groups.
What happens when a notification is received?
When another teacher tags a moment they've added to a board, if they have applied tags from a tag category group that you've chosen to watch
- you will get an app notification within one minute of a moment being shared on a board
- on iPad, press and hold the notification to see a large preview photo
- tap the notification to go directly to the board added
- consider bookmarking the board for later it or include it in a quick PDF or editable Word report
- once finished, clear the app search box at the top of the screen containing the boards title to refresh your timeline.
