Reflective practice and teacher wellbeing:

What happens in your classroom matters. Reflect gives it somewhere to go.

You’re already noticing things all day.

What worked, what didn’t, what you’d do differently next time. Most of it just passes. Not because it isn’t useful -there’s just no time to stop and write it down.

Reflect is a new feature of Blippit Boards that gives you as a teacher a quick way to keep hold of those moments while they’re still fresh.

Reflection written for an audience tends to become a performance of reflection rather than the thing itself. Reflect is built on the opposite idea.

Some things stick 🤔

Like...

A key moment that, despite your preparation, didn't go quite as hoped.
A new strategy that really paid off in an otherwise turbulent day.

Now, after its happened, when you can pause, just get it all down.
A few lines typed or dictated in Reflect.

It can be left 'as is' for the benefit of simply 'getting it down'.
Or, additionally, a helpful AI summary can bring clarity about what 'it' is that you're honing in on through your reflection.

No routine.
No streak or pressure to keep up. 🔥

Nothing to organise or turn into a report.
Just something useful to do with a small pause when something’s still on your mind.
A way to think it through properly and get to what actually mattered.

Nothing is stored or used to evaluate. 💆‍♀️

AI is on-hand, as an option, to support thinking, not replace it.
Anything it produces can be checked, changed, or ignored.

Data and privacy are treated very carefully, in line with current expectations in schools. Transparency [PDF], trust and privacy helps people reflect with confidence that no data is ever stored.

Built to follow Department for Education guidance for safe, responsible use of AI in education settings.

A note for Headteachers

Reflect is built for teachers, not institutions. That is not a limitation. It is the point.

When a school gives every teacher something that is genuinely theirs, with no data shared back, no reporting, no dashboards for anyone else, it makes a statement that a wellbeing policy never quite manages. It says: we trust you.

It is a simple thing to offer. And teachers notice when a school does.
