What’s been happening across the year?

When you’ve been using Blippit Boards for a while, it’s easy to build up a good collection of moments around a particular subject, theme or priority.

You can see how many Boards you’ve got, but sometimes you want to know a bit more about what’s behind that number. When were those moments happening? Have they been spread fairly evenly across the year, or have they come in a few bursts?

That’s what the new Line charts are there for.

Imagine you lead Music. You can see that there are plenty of Boards for Music across the school, with lots of good examples from the curriculum. But when you look at the Line chart, you notice that most of them were shared around the Christmas production, with very little from Key Stage 2 since February half term. Imagine you're the SENDCo and you've just run a series of staff sessions on inclusion then you might reasonably expect a spike in the Inclusion tag line chart as a reaction to your input and a quick look would show you whether or not SEND moments were surfacing as a result.

That might be exactly what you’d expect. Or it might be something you hadn’t really noticed before and want to look into.

Either way, you’ve got a much quicker way of seeing the pattern than filtering dates, finding individual Boards and trying to piece it together yourself.

And it’s not just subjects. You can use Line charts for anything you’re already tagging in Blippit Boards, whether that’s handwriting, SEND provision, an enrichment strand or one of your school priorities.

The chart simply gives you another way of looking at the moments you’ve already captured, this time with the school year running along the bottom so you can see how they’ve built up over time.
